BARBOURVILLE, Ky. -- Union men's track & field's John Luther was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference's men's field athlete of the week the league announced on Monday. This marks the third time on the outdoor season that Luther has earned the award.

Hood College director of athletics Gib Romaine has announced the hiring of Geoff Goyne as assistant director of athletics for communications.

Hood College men's basketball and golf coach Tom Dickman has been selected as the College's next director of athletics, effective July 1, 2013.
